Cinderella & Prince Charming Project Opens Homecoming Shopping for Pasco Students
WESLEY CHAPEL / PASCO COUNTY, FL — Homecoming season is here, and Pasco County students who need help affording the perfect outfit have a place to turn. Marjorie's Hope is opening its Cinderella & Prince Charming Project of Pasco County for the "HOCO '26" season, giving students an affordable way to shop for formal wear at Gulf View Square Mall in New Port Richey.
How It Works
The boutique-style shop offers short and long gowns, suits, tuxedos, ties, dress socks, dress shoes, belts and heels — all donated through community partnerships. Some students may also receive services like haircuts and self-tanning through the program's local business partners.
Shopping requires a $20 minimum donation to help offset rising inventory costs and keep a wide range of sizes and styles in stock. Every student must bring their digital school ID from their official phone app at check-in to participate.
A Program With Deep Roots
Marjorie's Hope took over the Cinderella Project in 2019, a program that had already been serving students since 2004, and expanded it to include Prince Charming so young men could access the same kind of support. The mission is straightforward: make sure no student misses out on homecoming or prom because of financial hardship.
