AquaSonic Car Wash Opens in Tampa May 8 with 18 Days of Free Washes and Events Near Temple Terrace

Tampa Bay's newest car wash destination is almost here. AquaSonic Car Wash officially opens its Tampa-area location on Thursday, May 8, 2026, at 6929 N. 56th Street — just south of Temple Terrace in Hillsborough County. To celebrate, the brand has planned 18 consecutive days of free car washes, local business partnerships, community giveaways, and special daily activations running through May 25.

Grand Opening Day: May 8 — Free Washes All Day

The launch kicks off big on May 8 with complimentary unlimited car washes available to all guests from the moment the doors open at 7 a.m. The first 100 vehicles in line at opening will receive exclusive AquaSonic grand opening giveaway packages, including a chance to win a full year of free car washes. Celsius Energy will be on-site from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. distributing free drinks to guests.

The location will remain open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. throughout the grand opening period and beyond.

Week One Highlights: Bands, Chicken, and Mother's Day

The opening week is packed with events for the whole family and the broader Tampa community:

May 9 — The Tampa Bay Technical High School Titan Marching Band performs live on-site from 9 to 11 a.m. Free Chick-fil-A sandwiches will be handed out to the first 200 guests from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., while 102.5 The Bone broadcasts live and gives away prizes on air.

May 10 — Mother's Day weekend arrives early at AquaSonic with free flowers and cold brew coffee from Coffee Me, available from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for all guests.

May 12 — The first 300 guests receive a free limited-edition AquaSonic microfiber towel.

Week Two: Heroes, Dogs, and Sunday Funday

May 15 — In honor of National Police Day, AquaSonic is designating this a first responder appreciation day. Wendy's will provide free Frosty drinks for the first 150 guests starting at 7 a.m., followed by free pizza from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

May 16 — Dog lovers, this one's for you. Free donuts will be handed out to the first 100 human guests, while pups receive free pup cups and AquaSonic-branded bandanas from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Rags to Riches Animal Rescue will also be on-site from 8 to 10 a.m.

May 17 — Sunday Funday brings free Celsius energy drinks and AquaSonic sunglasses for all guests, all day starting at 7 a.m.

May 19 — Another round of free limited-edition microfiber towels for the first 300 guests.

Closing Weekend: Memorial Day Celebration

May 22 — A second Frosty Friday courtesy of neighboring Wendy's, free for the first 150 guests.

May 23–24 — AquaSonic wraps up its grand opening run with a Memorial Day weekend celebration featuring free lemonade from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days, plus patriotic rubber ducks for the first 150 trucks and 4x4 vehicles each day.
