Armature Works Boat Show Returns to Tampa

One of Tampa's most anticipated spring events is back this weekend. The Armature Works Boat Show is returning to the Hillsborough River waterfront for three days of free, family-friendly boating and marine lifestyle activities in the heart of Tampa Heights.

When and Where

The event runs Friday, May 1st from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, May 2nd from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, May 3rd from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Armature Works, located at 1910 N Ola Ave in Tampa's Heights district along the Hillsborough River.

What to Expect

Spanning nearly 400,000 square feet of waterfront space, the show features a range of family boats, pontoons, and recreational vessels from local dealers, along with boating accessories, fishing gear, and marine lifestyle brands. Admission is free for all attendees.

Beyond the boats themselves, attendees will have full access to the Armature Works Market Hall and the center's expansive outdoor riverfront grounds — making it easy to grab food and drinks between browsing exhibitors. The open-air layout sets this event apart from traditional indoor convention-style shows, offering scenic river views throughout the weekend.

A Different Kind of Boat Show

Unlike larger convention-style boat shows, the Armature Works Boat Show focuses on a walkable, open-air experience along Tampa's waterfront. The relaxed atmosphere makes it a solid option for both serious boating enthusiasts and families looking for a free weekend activity.

For Wesley Chapel and North Tampa residents, the venue is approximately 30 minutes south via I-275 and is accessible from most communities along the SR-54 and SR-56 corridors. Free parking is available in the surrounding Heights neighborhood.

The event is free and open to the public with no registration required. Families are encouraged to arrive early on Saturday, as the show typically draws strong crowds midday.
