Eight Turn Crêpe Brings Florida's First Japanese-Style Crêpe Shop to Wesley Chapel

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — If you've been craving something different from the usual lineup of chain restaurants, Wesley Chapel just got a genuinely unique addition. Eight Turn Crêpe celebrated its grand opening at 2653 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Suite 116 — and it's the first Florida location for the growing crêpe brand.

The Backstory 

Eight Turn Crêpe started with a single location in New York City's Soho neighborhood back in 2013 and has since grown to about a dozen locations across New York, California, Texas, Idaho, Washington state, and Virginia. The Wesley Chapel shop, owned by local franchisee Lien Nguyen, marks the brand's first step into the Florida market. The company's VP of Franchising, Steve Kogan, was on hand for the opening.

What to Expect 

The concept draws from Japanese street food traditions, offering naturally gluten-free, rice flour crêpes in two styles: the classic Japanese cone shape, or rolled and sliced sushi-style. Savory options include fillings like crispy pork belly, chicken teriyaki, and smoked salmon with cream cheese, while dessert crêpes feature options like Dubai chocolate or lychee, raspberry, and almonds.

A New Neighbor with an Interesting Contrast 

The shop took over the former 35 Below ice cream space, in the same plaza as Dickey's BBQ, Umu Japanese & Thai, and Sorbo coffee. It's a fitting bit of local color that Eight Turn Crêpe — itself an homage to Japanese street food — now sits near Umu, an established Japanese and Thai restaurant, while offering something entirely different on the menu.
