New Construction Is Surrounding Ashton Oaks on Both Sides — Here's What's Going Up Right Next Door

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — If you live in Ashton Oaks or drive through that corridor regularly, you've noticed the construction activity picking up on both sides of the neighborhood. Two significant projects are now actively underway flanking the established community — and together they're going to change what that stretch of Wesley Chapel looks and feels like.

On one side, HARMON Ashton Oaks is rising on roughly 28 acres at State Road 54 and Ashton Oaks Boulevard, in the middle of one of Wesley Chapel's busiest growth corridors for new homes and retail. On the other, a new extension of Two Ridges Road is taking shape and will fundamentally change how traffic moves through the entire area.

HARMON Ashton Oaks — Build-to-Rent Townhomes Coming This Year

Developer Crescent Heights has started construction on HARMON Ashton Oaks, which will feature 115 two-story residences with three-bedroom and four-bedroom floor plans. Each 1,800-square-foot residence will come with its own private two-car garage and front yard.

The community is expected to welcome its first residents later this year. Amenities include a resort-style swimming pool, dog park, outdoor grilling areas, a community lawn, and on-site event programming. For local renters, that means larger floor plans, attached garages, and neighborhood-style amenities without the commitment and maintenance that come with buying.

Two Ridges Road Extension — A New Route Coming by End of 2026

The northern second leg of Two Ridges Road — approximately 0.7 miles in length — is rapidly taking shape. The extension will run north to the existing traffic signal at CR-54 and River Glen Blvd., across SR-54 from the main entrance to Avalon Park Wesley Chapel. Crews are currently performing grading, drainage, and landscaping work across the corridor, steadily preparing the site for curbs, paving, and final roadway construction.

At the current pace, locals can likely expect the Two Ridges Road construction to be near or fully completed by the end of 2026. When finished, it will create a new north-south connector between SR-56 and CR-54 — giving Ashton Oaks residents and surrounding neighborhoods a much-needed alternative route through a corridor that has been growing faster than its roads.
