WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — Two of America's most recognizable restaurant chains are heading to one of Wesley Chapel's busiest intersections, and construction is already underway.
A new retail center known as Gateway Plaza is rising at the southwest corner of Wesley Chapel Boulevard (SR-54) and Gateway Drive, just west of Interstate 75. The project — filed under the entity Shoppes at Gateway, LLC — will be anchored by an Olive Garden, with Seasons 52 as the second restaurant and a Heartland Dental office rounding out the plaza on the east side of the site.
Olive Garden's building plans were submitted to Pasco County in August 2025, and site clearing has already begun. The project address is listed as 27391 Centerline Drive — the small frontage road that runs behind Slim Chickens, tying into the commercial cluster around The Grove and Old Pasco Road.
The Two Restaurants
• Olive Garden — classic Italian-American menu: pastas, soups, breadsticks, family-style dining, and a full bar. One of the most-requested additions to Wesley Chapel for years
• Seasons 52 — upscale casual grill and wine bar concept, also owned by Darden Restaurants. Known for its seasonally rotating menu, flatbreads, and expansive wine list. First Pasco County location
Why This Location Makes Sense
The area just west of I-75 on SR-54 already pulls heavy commuter and residential traffic through its existing restaurant and retail lineup. Adding Olive Garden and Seasons 52 to that corridor makes it one of the most restaurant-dense stretches in all of Wesley Chapel — and gives residents two long-awaited dinner options without getting on the highway.
