Run for a Reason: The 10th Annual Freedom Run Hits Wesley Chapel District Park This Saturday

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — Lace up your shoes. The Freedom Run is back for its 10th year, and this one is worth getting up early for.
The Freedom Run: The Race Against Poverty takes place this Saturday, May 2, at Wesley Chapel District Park. Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, the race gives runners of all levels a chance to compete — and to make a real difference. All net proceeds go directly toward building homes for families living in extreme poverty around the world.
Race Details
• 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run — both fully timed
• Finisher medal for every participant
• Trophies for overall top male and female runners
• Age group awards for first-place finishers
• Virtual options available for runners outside the area
The Impact
Since its start, the Freedom Run has funded home construction in the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, the Philippines, and El Salvador. This is a Wesley Chapel community event that reaches far beyond our zip code.
