Established in 1992, Archives Awareness Week brings together local archivists who showcase their collections through free exhibits and programs, held each year during the second week of July to coincide with Tampa's July 15 birthday.
What's Happening
This year's celebration runs from Sunday, July 12, through Saturday, July 18, with exhibits, workshops, and programs hosted at nearly a dozen venues across the city, including six events at public libraries. Highlights include a "Guitars and Galleries" guided tour at the Tampa Bay History Center and a "Tampa in 1926" talk exploring two major historical events from a century ago, followed by birthday cake for attendees.
