Bonchon Korean Fried Chicken Opens This Wednesday at The Hub at Lexington Oaks — Wesley Chapel's Most Anticipated New Restaurant Is Almost Here

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — Wesley Chapel's dining scene keeps leveling up. Tallo, the area's first-ever Caribbean-American fusion restaurant, is now open in the Avalon Park neighborhood — and if you haven't been yet, it should be near the top of your list.

Located at 4424 Friendly Way, Suite 105, Tallo is owned by Puerto Rico native José Sato, who moved to Tampa in 2020 and worked at Boca in Sarasota before deciding that Wesley Chapel was exactly where he wanted to build something. 'I think we have an impact here,' Sato said. 'It's growing so fast... I wanted to come to Wesley Chapel before it becomes like a big city.'

What to Order

•        Garlic Surf and Turf — filet mignon, lobster, garlic cream sauce, asparagus, and aioli cream potatoes

•        Churrasco — skirt steak with chimichurri, Puerto Rican fried rice, and beans

•        The menu also pulls from Cuban, Dominican, and — eventually — Jamaican traditions

•        Craft cocktails: the Tallo Sour, the Limbo Lemonade, and the Tourista — rum-forward with smoked bubbles for tableside drama

The Vibe

Tallo isn't a casual takeout spot. It's a sit-down experience designed around bold flavors, inventive cocktails, and a menu that rotates as Sato continues to expand the concept. Think upscale-casual with Caribbean soul — perfect for a date night, a family celebration, or any occasion that calls for something out of the ordinary.
